Outer Banks North Carolina Fishing - A Short Run to the Gulf StreamOffshore fishing on North Carolina's Outer Banks is some of the best in the world. The combination of bottom structure on the continental shelf and the gulfstream current and eddies provide year round fishing. Our run to the Gulf Stream is short in comparison with many East Coast U.S sportfishing destinations, averaging 30-45 miles. Oregon Inlet Fishing CenterThe Bi-Op-Sea's home port is Oregon Inlet Fishing Center, centrally located on North Carolina's Outer Banks at 98 NC Highway 12 at the North end of the Herbert Bonner Bridge. We are available for charter here from March through December. Oregon Inlet Fishing Center is south of Corolla, Southern Shores, Duck, Kitty Hawk, Kill Devil Hills. And it is north of Rodanthe, Salvo, Waves, Buxton and Hatteras, North Carolina. Oregon Inlet Fishing Center is just 1 1/2 hours by car from Norfolk, Virginia; 3 hours from Raleigh, 3 1/2 hours from Richmond; and only 5 hours from Washington, D.C. For those who prefer to fly, the Norfolk airport is served by several major airlines while private and charter aircraft use the Dare County Regional Airport in Manteo, the Currituck County Airport, or the Wright Memorial Airstrip (for limited tie-downs) in Kill Devil Hills, NC.
